Long Lines? Here’s How Lucky Cat Keeps Customers Comfortable While Ordering Food
Rizki AmeliaLucky Cat is a dining spot that has become one of the most popular culinary destinations in South Jakarta. Starting from an exciting journey in 2011, Lucky Cat has successfully expanded its area for an even better dining experience.
“We started with Dimsum Inc in 2011, and in 2016, we launched Lucky Cat,” said Edi Partono, General Manager of Lucky Cat, who was met by the ESB team some time ago. Initially, they only had one area, but Lucky Cat expanded over time, becoming a dining place and a comfortable meeting point for many communities.

Edi explained, “What sets us apart from other coffee shops is that we make Lucky Cat a destination. So it’s not just a dining place, but also a part of the surrounding community. Many sports communities, office workers, and students make Lucky Cat their gathering place.” With a well-curated menu, visitors won’t have trouble choosing dishes that suit their taste.
The Challenge of Long Lines and Its Solution
Like other restaurants, Lucky Cat faces a major challenge with long lines, especially during peak hours. “The lines have been incredible since we opened. We continuously looked for ways to break these lines, and eventually, we chose to use the ESB Order system,” Edi said. With this system, guests can order their food themselves by scanning a barcode through their devices, reducing pressure on the cashier.

The vision and mission of Lucky Cat is to become the premier destination for casual dining. “We strive to serve delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. From the ambiance to the restaurant's design, we want visitors to feel at home and always remember that Lucky Cat is a fun place,” Edi explained.
Before implementing the ESB Order system, Lucky Cat faced challenges in service, especially when the restaurant was busy. “In the past, we had to place waitstaff at various points to serve guests. However, with ESB, customers can order directly from their seats, reducing wait times and enhancing comfort,” he added.

Edi also explained that using ESB has proven effective in increasing revenue. “Data shows customers are more comfortable ordering at Lucky Cat due to the efficient ordering system. They can easily add to their orders without having to pick up a menu, making the dining experience more enjoyable,” he said.
Even if customers occasionally make a wrong menu choice, Edi emphasized that this issue can be easily resolved thanks to the efficient system. “We can manage orders quickly through ESB, ensuring optimal service,” he added.
So far, Lucky Cat has not encountered serious issues with the ESB system. “Support from the technical team is very responsive. Every question we raised was answered quickly, making us feel fully supported,” Edi said.
In conclusion, Edi stated, “Overall, the ESB system is very good and easy to implement. We are even considering using it in our new outlet in the future.” Lucky Cat has not only succeeded in creating a delightful culinary experience but has also become an inspiring example for other culinary entrepreneurs.
