1. Registering IPR Offline

If you prefer to register in person, here are some places you can go for the application process:

- Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kanwil Depkumham)
You can visit the nearest Kanwil Depkumham office and bring the required documents for registration.

- Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI)
You can also register, renew, and record trademark licenses at DJKI. DJKI offers flagship programs to increase national intellectual property.

- Through a Legal Representative or Registered IPR Consultant
Although more expensive, this option is very convenient. Experienced consultants will handle the entire registration process, saving you time and effort.

2. Registering IPR Online

Want to manage IPR registration online? Here’s how:

- Go to e-hakcipta.dgip.go.id or download the e-Hak Cipta app from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (Dirjen HKI).

- Register an account by filling in your username and password.

- Create a new application by clicking ‘application’ and selecting the type of rights you want to register.

- Upload the required documents.

- You will receive a payment code. Follow the instructions to make the payment.

- Wait for the verification process.

- Once approved, the status will show as "approved."

- You can then download and print the IPR certificate yourself.

So, register for IPR now! There’s a ‘first come, first served’ rule in trademark registration, where the first to register and get approved automatically owns the rights to the trademark.
