Actually, before opening the taproom, my husband and I had experience in the F&B business. We also have a special tea coffee business in Jakarta and 11 branches in Bali. So, you could say we had experience with various POS systems for our cafes until we decided to create our own system. But when we opened this taproom, we decided not to use our own system but a system we felt could be a one-stop solution. 

We didn't want to manage the business ourselves; we wanted it to be on autopilot. So, before opening, we surveyed various POS systems and finally chose ESB because it's a one-stop solution where everything from transactions to financial reports is in one software.

Initially, it was something my kitchen staff wasn't used to, but I found it very convenient once they got used to it because they can see on the screen which orders are urgent and which ones have been waiting for 15 minutes, 20 minutes, and that becomes a benchmark for my kitchen team to prepare the order. For the bar, I use tickets and don't want to use a screen because the turnover is very high. 

ESB also connects with a WI-FI printer for outdoor barbeque, and it's all facilitated through the ESB system. With ESB, we can also set up recipes, so I know the COGS/HPP resulting from the sales. We also have a loyalty program; with many repeat customers, they can scan the barcode, become members, earn points for every transaction, and see their points anywhere through their phone.
